GA4 Configuration Guide
Complete these steps in the GA4 dashboard to activate conversion tracking and custom dimensions for CaeliVault.
Mark Conversion Events
Tell GA4 which events represent a lead or sale
Open GA4 → Admin → Events
Go to analytics.google.com → select property G-QXWZ86CD10 → Admin (bottom-left gear) → Events
Mark generate_lead as conversion
Find "generate_lead" in the event list. Toggle the "Mark as conversion" switch ON.
This is a GA4 recommended event — it will appear natively in the Conversions report.
Mark case_intake_submit as conversion
Find "case_intake_submit" in the event list. Toggle "Mark as conversion" ON.
This fires alongside generate_lead on every form submission — useful for custom Goals reporting.
Mark whatsapp_click as conversion
Find "whatsapp_click" in the event list. Toggle "Mark as conversion" ON.
WhatsApp taps are high-intent signals in Malaysia — treating them as conversions gives you accurate lead counts.
Wait 24–48 hours
Conversion data takes up to 48 hours to appear in reports. Events must fire at least once before they appear in the list.
Tip: Use GA4 DebugView (Admin → DebugView) to verify events are firing in real time.
Register Custom Dimensions
Enable case_type, urgency, and cta_location as filterable dimensions
Open GA4 → Admin → Custom definitions
Admin (gear icon) → Property column → Custom definitions → Custom dimensions tab
Create dimension: case_type
Click "Create custom dimension" → Name: "Case Type" → Scope: Event → Event parameter: case_type → Save
Values: phone-hack, social-accounts, stalkerware, data-breach, identity-theft, device-forensics
Create dimension: urgency
Click "Create custom dimension" → Name: "Urgency" → Scope: Event → Event parameter: urgency → Save
Values: critical (active breach), high (recent incident), medium (concerned), low (general inquiry)
Create dimension: cta_location
Click "Create custom dimension" → Name: "CTA Location" → Scope: Event → Event parameter: cta_location → Save
Values: hero, case-card, pricing, assessment-result, blog-post, whatsapp-float, exit-intent
Verify in Explore reports
After 24 hours, go to Explore → create a Free Form report → add your new dimensions as breakdowns on cta_click and generate_lead events.
Recommended Reports to Build
Get actionable insight from your conversion data
Conversion funnel: page_view → cta_click → form_start → generate_lead

CTA location effectiveness
Explore → Free Form → Dimension: cta_location → Metric: event_count (cta_click). Shows which page sections drive the most clicks.
